Changes to your private health insurance statement

The Federal Government has recently changed the law regarding the distribution of your private health insurance statements making it optional to mail out this information.

Queensland Country Health Fund will no longer be automatically mailing out the private health insurance statement to each adult covered on the policy.

What does this mean for you?

We have sent a data extract containing details from your 2018-19 private health insurance statement directly to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)  so that your details can be pre-filled ready for your tax return. The information should be updated with the ATO and pre-filled on 9 July 2019 for those who are lodging online via myTax or with a registered tax agent.

If you wish to view or download a copy of your private health insurance statement this can be done in your Online Member Services (OMS) portal. To view or download please follow steps below.

We are here to help! If you require any assistance logging into your Online Member Services portal, accessing your tax statement, your health insurance details are not pre-filled or you lodge a paper tax return, please contact our friendly team on 1800 813 415.
