Champika Kartawick, Business Development ManagerTell us about your time here at Queensland Country…

I started in August 2016 and I have already had so many wonderful experiences. My highlight would have to be travelling to places I have never been to before, like Darwin, Mackay and Mount Isa. All the staff have been wonderful along my travels and really welcoming.

Who inspires you and why?

My family and friends inspire me the most. They’re always there when things get tough and tell me to keep going and remind me that anything can be achieved!

What is the most important thing to you about your health insurance?

For me it’s about the value I receive from my policy. I like the idea that extras cover is designed to help keep me fit and healthy, which may prevent any major surgeries or long term health concerns in the future. It also affords me the peace of mind and security of health care options and benefits.

What is the Queensland Country difference?

That we care about our Members and they really are at the heart of everything we do. Internally, this same care is given to staff. The managers strive to provide a well-balanced workplace environment where we all enjoy coming into work every day.


I believe a positive mind is key to staying healthy and being confident. I try to exercise on the weekend with my daughter, so we can have some bonding time as I am quite busy travelling during the week. This might include swimming in my backyard pool or going for a walk.
