Claims

Now we’re down to the business end of things – how can you claim on services? We’ve got six options available, so you can choose your preferred method.

* Please note that the above video mentions the Gladstone Retail Centre. This Retail Centre is no longer operating.

On the spot claiming

If your healthcare provider has electronic claiming facility (HICAPS/IBA), you can claim at the time of your consultation – before you even leave the building. The system processes your claim much like an EFTPOS transaction and allows you to just pay the difference, so your claim is finalised on the spot.

You can find HICAPS/IBA claiming points at most of the following health service providers:

  • Dentists, endodontists, periodontists, dental prosthetists/advanced dental technicians, prosthodontists and paediatric dentists
  • Dispensing optometrists, optical dispensers
  • Physiotherapists
  • Chiropractors
  • Osteopaths
  • Podiatrists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Psychologists

To see if your healthcare professional offers the HICAPS facility, simply log onto www.hicaps.com.au.

Online claiming

Once you've been with Queensland Country Health Fund for more than 3 months, you're eligible to use our Online Claiming service.

To use this service, log in to Online Member Services where you will find instructions on how to submit your claim.

Depending on your level of cover, you can claim for many services like general dental, optical, physio, chiro, massage and acupuncture, to name just a few! You can claim up to $400 per day on services received up to three (3) months before the day you lodge your claim.

Once you've entered details from your receipts and clicked on the submit button, your claim is then complete. Any benefit entitlement will be then paid into your nominated bank account within a few days.

Receipts are not required to be submitted with your claim. However we may request them for review and ask that you keep your receipts for twelve (12) months from the date of claiming.

Please review the terms and conditions of Online Claiming before lodging your claim.
