Compare your health insurance
It's a fact of life. Each year on April 1, all health funds put their prices up. How much they go up varies from fund to fund, and how it's calculated is complicated, taking into account things like increasing claim numbers, rising costs of health care, CPI, fund operating costs and lots of other factors.
So we're admitting it - our premium prices will go up on April 1. But we work hard to keep them as low as possible to provide you the best possible value-for-money cover you can rest assured that it's not because it's going in our back pocket.
So, to make up for it, we're improving our benefits, increasing how many times you can claim on certain services and paying more back when you go. That means more bang for your buck. Is your health fund doing that?
This is what we'll be adding from April 1:
- Increased benefits payable for dental services such as root canals, mouth guards and braces
- The longer you hold your policy, the more you can access for orthodontic benefits
- Increased benefits and sub-limit for physiotherapy and increased sub-limit for chiropractic/massage
- A new repair and consumables benefit for C-Pap machines (up to the annual limit for mechanical aids)
- Increased benefits for hearing aids
But these are only the new benefits and limits on services - there are so many more Extras services and therapies that are included under our packaged or standalone extras cover.
Over the past eight years, we have had consistently lower premium increases than the industry average, and we enjoy a 97% Member satisfaction*.
So why not compare your current health insurance to see if we can save you money (since we're not the only ones putting prices up) or provide you with a private health insurance package that better suits your needs?
