Queensland Country Health is committed to supporting its local communities; one of the ways we contribute to the communities in which we operate is through our Sponsorship program. Queensland Country provides sponsorship support for a wide rage of activities that offer a tangible benefit to the community and encourage active participation in local activities. As a result we are proud to be a major sponsor of National Rugby League teams the North Queensland Cowboys and the Brisbane Broncos; as well as the Women’s National Basketball League team - Townsville Fire.

Queensland Country Health also supports local community groups via donations and sponsorship of events. The Mount Isa Helicopter, Townsville Hospice and Palliative Care Centre and the Townsville Running Festival are examples of groups that have been supported by us.

When evaluating a sponsorship request we take into consideration:

• How well the sponsorship connects with the community and our Members
• Whether the sponsorship aligns with our goals
• The ability of the sponsorship to provide a long term community benefit
• How broadly spread the benefits are to the community.
